I look at technology as a tool for the Business to enhance their efficiency, effectiveness and productivity and strongly believe in letting the desired business use drive the technical design and not designing solutions just because of the currently available, or desired, technology. This viewpoint has been formed over years of hands-on experience working with business users to determine their requirements and then designing, developing, evaluating, implementing and supporting financial applications in financial services companies and software providers across the world.I saw first-hand the obstacles that hamper the investment management industry, especially when trying to make sense of the vast amount if information available to find the most appropriate investment opportunities and then trying to match those opportunities with suitable clients. In most organizations these days, this predominantly a manual process. Designing and building solutions to simplify and streamline this process is valuable for the industry and one that, with my knowledge of both business and technology, I helped bring to life in both AG Delta and JP Morgan and will continue to do this in my new role in Citisoft.
