The primary product I supported was VMStore that was the storage medium for running virtual machines. I troubleshooted Tintri hardware and software issues with extensive log reviews and data traffic monitoring. Worked for small company (Isonas) for several years, they were acquired by Allegion. I did the same job but directly for Allegion rather than Isonas. Was the SME for Isonas software and hardware and helped Allegion technical support team learn new tools and processes for troubleshooting Isonas issues.
Isonas is a network / cloud connected badge reader manufacturer. The development team allowed me to set up my development environment and contribute to Pure Access software with low priority back log items that involved full stack development with PostgreSQL. I experimented with the software in new ways and learned Git procedures and processes. This was my first exposure to docker, node js, InteliJ IDE, React js, java with apache tomcat. Primary duties:I made wiring diagrams with various applications between door locks and the badge reader while troubleshooting wiring issues. I troubleshooted hardware and network topology involved with the badge readers. I also maintained cloud servers(wrote and executed bash scripts) that were hosting the badge reader connections as well as the end-user facing software, "Pure Access Cloud." I regularly created peer reviewed documentation. I troubleshooted PostgreSQL and apache tomcat issues and assisted customers with database migrations. On down times, I assisted my manufacturing peers with firmware loading, testing, and packaging readers and accessories.
