Security and compliance engineer/project lead/subject matter expert. Research, test, and implement configuration management software/tools for Windows and Linux. Run SOX/PCI/Internal audit and compliance scans to ensure OS security settings are in compliance with company policy, NIST, and the DOD STIG standards/requirements. Provided key role in designing, testing, and implementing a globally applied Active Directory Group Policy to enforce Windows OS settings per company policy. Researched, planned, designed, and implemented the OS security settings audit compliance scans tools/scripts/rules/processes/reporting which provide the testing evidence for PCI/SOX/Internal audit (Windows and Linux). Work with all OS/Cloud support teams in reviewing and remediating non-compliant security/compliance settings. Researched, planned, designed, implemented Windows PowerShell DSC (Desired State Configuration) for Linux proof of concept project; this was done to provide an option for enforcing OS security settings and managing drift on Linux servers. Work with auditors (3rd party and internal) in providing automated security/compliance testing evidence; use automation methods via software tools/scripts/reporting to provide required evidence; the goal is to eliminate all manual processes of collecting evidence. Mediate between parent security team and other departments to ensure company policy and industry standard requirements are being applied and enforced; also that any identified non-compliant items are remediated in a timely manner. Team subject expert and point of contact for software/web tools that manage/support password rotation of local privileged accounts, digital certificates, SSO, Active Directory objects/OUs/Group Policies, log collection, compliance reporting. Constantly researching/reviewing new security/compliance tools/technologies to meet company security and compliance objectives.
