Initially hired to provide assistance and support to the Corporate Compliance Officer / VP of Administration in developing an expanded compliance program, promoted to Director position. My responsibilities included:Auditing the organization’s implementation of the HIPAA Security Rule and other state and federal confidentiality and data security laws. Addressing gaps in compliance by providing process change recommendations and/or creating work plans to achieve the goal of full compliance.Training staff & developing yearly training modules in HIPAA compliance, Information Security Awareness, Fraud Waste and Abuse. Conducting monthly new hire orientations about Evergreen’s compliance program. Creating a culture of compliance by engaging staff through compliance games, articles and social activities. Management and review of organizational contracts, leases, MOUs, Business Associates Agreements, Saas agreements, program provider agreements and legal documents such as subpoenas, guardianships and Orders to Show Cause.Selection and managment of external consultants from development of Request for proposals through project closeout.

The contract project involved the review of a portfolio of global syndicated loans and domestic corporate credit transactions requiring a large amount of document analysis and the ability to sift and organize historical data and documentation. Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney provided training in the necessary legal and software expertise.

Supervised construction teams and provided design services on various private and state funded residential projects.

Provided lender representation in consumer bankruptcy filings in the New York Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Bankruptcy Districts.
