FunctionThe maintenance planner determines how the job will be performed and who will perform which activities. I am responsible for facilitating communication between production departments and maintenance departments. I keep equipment maintained while slowing down production minimally through the use of subordinates. All maintenance problems must be solved taking the budget, environment and safety into consideration. I am often required to keep track of maintenance supplies that are used during regular maintenance so that supplies can be replenished. Any repairs made need to be reported to the upper management. I also provide past, present, and future statistics to upper echelons of the company using emails, phone conferences, power points, group training, and excel formats to communicateConditionsMaintenance workers sometimes work under direct supervision of the maintenance planner, especially when being trained. I am exposed to all of the same dangers that the maintenance workers can be exposed to, including exposed wires and adverse weather conditions. I also must complete the same required training as the maintenance workers.

Lead and supervise 10-50 person units. Operate communication equipment of the future, construct major repairs and minor fortifications. Coordinate with supporting elements. Train personnel on multi-million dollar equipment,manage receipts, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment. Plan, coordinate and advise superiors and subordinates.
