Coordinated the strategic research program in the nursing home and home care industries for 1199SEIU, a 300,000 member health care local union covering New York, Massachusetts, Maryland and Washington DC. Responsible for developing and implementing the strategic research and policy program and directing a three to six person research team.

Conducted extensive company and industry research in support of numerous collective bargaining agreements efforts and strategic projects designed to increase membership. • Conducted an analysis of the distribution and logistics network of the apparel industry for both the United States and Canada that was used to develop both the strategic program for the union and part of the investment strategy for Amalgamated Bank and pension plans. • Developed comprehensive strategic growth plan for the UNITE New England Joint Board, including targeting, database development and assessment of potential companies. • Designed a public outreach campaign focusing on the connection between luxury bedding and high workplace injuries among hotel housekeeping staff. • Drafted communications to shareholders, financial institutions and analysts detailing potential financial concerns and international labor abuses.
