CurrentManage all procurement and logistics requirements for Vital Link, Inc. to manufacture and install jet engine test facilities for government and commercial customers, and support maintenance contracts to maintain, refurbish and upgrade 200+ existing test facilities globally.Manage the performance and tasks of a senior buyer, a buyer, an inventory specialist, a project expeditor, and a shipping & receiving manager, in addition to overseeing five indirect reports.Negotiate and issue both complex and non-complex purchase orders and subcontract agreements for the supply of materials, parts, manufactured components, and services.Develop and maintain an approved suppliers list as a source for products and services, working with up to 500 suppliers globally.Collaborate with sales and inventory control to develop measures for determining target inventory levels and replenishment frequency.Negotiate pricing based on economy of scale, constantly considering multiple project requirements. Routinely evaluate supplier performance by analyzing pricing history, on-time performance history, and adherence to quality objectives.Ensure product specifications, statements of work, and other procurement specifications are effectively communicated to the supplier, and coordinate and administer change orders with the project manager and/or engineering manager.Participate in planning sessions and reviews with the plant manager, project manager, and vice president of contracts and operations, scheduling and executing all purchasing for manufacturing and field operations.Utilize Global Shop Solutions ERP software to maintain vendor database, execute quotation requests and purchase orders, manage inventory, and analyze job costing.Played key role on a team to negotiate an 8.5 year, $250 million contract renewal with a customer, including renegotiation of all supplier pricing for 1-year commitments, and negotiating escalation rates for years 2 - 8.5.
