About David Hardesty

Dave Hardesty serves as the Vice President of Operations at Eckerd Connects.During the past 35 years, Dave has worked in both the private and public sectors of the Human Services and Juvenile Justice fields, with a tremendous history of success in the operation of residential programs and community-based programs throughout multiple states. Dave has a high level of experience and knowledge related to building effective teams, solving complex issues, working in fast-paced environments, collaborating effectively with state agencies and legislators, managing multiple budgets of over $20 million annually, strategic planning and ensuring all programs operate with a high level of quality to exceed local, state, and federal requirements. In his current role, Dave is responsible for the oversight of several residential and community-based programs. He previously worked with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety where he served as the Director of Facility Operations in the Juvenile Justice Division. Dave was responsible for the operations of four youth development centers serving 330 youth and 6 juvenile detention centers with a capacity of 130 youth. In this effort, he supervised over 650 employees and managed operating budgets in excess of $50M. Dave also served on the NC Governor’s Crime Commission and Juvenile Justice Planning Committee, and worked as an independent consultant with private and state agencies. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Springfield College.

    The position assists in developing and implementing the strategic business plan and direction for the assigned operations areas of the organization.
