At Nike Sports Research Lab, we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of sports performance and innovation. As Performance Services Lead I work within the Applied Performance Innovation team that works closely to support our Nike athletes, clubs and federations. My role involves overseeing a range of performance services, collaborating with coaches, expert practitioners and researchers to holistically support our athletes through the relentless pursuit of science.

United Kingdom

Initially starting in the role of Brand Representative, my role within True Motion rapidly expanded to encompass a variety of experiences across several areas of the business. Such is the flexibility in working approach needed within a progressive start up with major ambitions. Responsibilities included;- Developing and maintaining partnership relationships with retailers across the UK.- Educating and training the retailer, sales staff and consumers about True Motion technology via in person and remote seminars, and clinics. I then expanded this process to incorporate a running biomechanics workshop with retailers to provide a bespoke elevated experience for staff.- Organising and executing unique sales supporting events for consumers. This included working with the account managers and marketing teams to ensure credible and authentic experiences for the consumer. Working remotely in the UK from our head office in Cologne I used several communication streams to maintain seemless integration of processes and activities across the UK and DAK territories. This also involved coordinating weekly sales meetings with account managers across Europe and monthly updates with Tech and marketing teams. Direct communication with our owners regarding market developments and challenges in the UK retail industry was very important to allow the business to flex and accommodate for our accounts at short notice, maintaining excellent customer service, while dealing with challenges such as the global pandemic, and shipping delays.

Worked with the endurance event athletes and coaches on the Olympic World Class Performance Plan as a National Endurance coach. As part of a multi-disciplinary team I supported and lead pre-championship and altitude training camps across Europe, Africa and America in preparation for major global championships. Coached athletes across 3 different events (800m, 1500m, 3000m Steeplechase) at two IAAF World Championships, 2 individual European Gold medals in Cross Country, lead GB Mixed Relay team and Senior Men's team to Gold at 2017 and 2019 European Cross Country Championships, as well as coaching athletes to 4 British National Track & Field titles and a top-10 IAAF world ranking in 2019. Under direction from Nike Global Running, oversaw and created programming for NRC in the UK/London, and managed the British Athletics coaching team supporting the Nike Run Club. Also worked with Nike Western Europe to launch product in European territories and lead on education for NRC European Head Coaches at European NRC Conference.

Colorado

Worked with several athletes competing internationally post collegiately in the USA for the Adidas BRC Race Team. 2009 and 2011 IAAF World Championship qualifiers in the marathon, as well as 2011 Pan Am Games qualifier in the 10,000m. Also help coordinate and work with other visiting international athletes and coaches altitude training camps/blocks here in Colorado Springs while preparing for Major International Championships and Races.

In charge of all day to day responsibilities concerning the Women's Cross Country team and Men's and Women's Track and Field teams, including travel logistics, recruiting, NCAA compliance, administration and coaching. Track- Along with Co-Head Coach Mark Misch have coached individuals to 74 event school records across both Indoor and Outdoor Track events. - 127 All-Conference (Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) performers. - 9 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Champions - 31 All-Central Region Selections- 5 USTFCCCA NCAA Division II All-American’s Cross Country- Women’s team qualifier for NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships placing 10th (2012). - Women’s team qualifier for NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships placing 20th (2013 and 2014). First time in school history Women's team has qualified 3 years in a row. - 2012 Roy Griak Maroon Division Women's Team Champions- Coached Megan Burrell and Heather Bates to USTFCCCA All-American status at 2012 and 2014 NCAA Cross Country Champs respectively.- Men's and Women’s track and field and cross country teams have consistently been named an All-Academic team by USTFCCCA since 2007.

Role involved coordination and administration of several research projects. Recruiting of subjects, collection of biometric subject data as well as test data, and entry and analysis of data post collection. Presented research at the American Society of Biomechanics Annual Conference.

Kent, England, United Kingdom

Managed several Star Track Athletics Programs across Kent including Maidstone, Tonbridge, and Sevenoaks. Program offered children aged 8-14 the chance to participate in a comprehensive program of athletics, staffed by qualified UK Athletics coaches. Camps also acted as a Talent Identification Program navigating potential athletes to local athletics clubs in the process. Coaching age group athletes at Medway and Maidstone AC in conjunction with the program.

Assisted Lead Instructors with delivery of UK Athletics coaching certification for teachers.

Granada, Andalusia, Spain

Assisted in the administration and coaching of athletes attending warm-weather training facility in Granada, Spain. Athletes included Junior (under 20) and Senior Great Britain Track and Field athletes preparing for British Championship/Trials, European Junior Championships and World Youth Games. Duties involved coordinating the travel of athletes to Granada from the UK, and transport of athletes to and from the training facilities while in Spain, and also assisted with overseeing delivery of workouts for athletes at both sea-level and at altitude in Sierra Nevada's.
