Qualified electronics engineer with 50yrs experience of the consumer electronics /photo industries.My career started at Photopia International Ltd as an apprentice engineer progressing through to Director level roles and ultimately to a partner of an M.B.O team in 2005.For many years I was instrumental in developing and maintaining a very strong technical division which offered cost effective solutions to a wide and diverse range of international brands.I developed very strong global client relationships which greatly assisted longevity of the many business contracts .My goal was to continue our business expansion within CE in both the manufacturer/distributor and retail sectors.The aforementioned solutions embracing warranty repair ,retail returns management and technical support.In order to fulfill our goals we invested in additional physical resource and continued our historic relationship with local college establishments for staff recruitment/training. Staff training and development has always been a strong interest of mine.I joined John Pye & Sons Auctions in October 2018 and was tasked with the introduction of a new technical division to the business namely John Pye Technical Services. During 2019 we were involved in creating a purpose built technical Lab within the John Pye and Sons Marchington ( Staffordshire) facility offering unique product refurbishment and data cleanse services linked to premium product auction outlets for our wide range of clients. This operation has now been expanded across all of the John Pye UK sites and now also established in our new and exciting facility in Zaragoza Spain. I am very experienced in building and maintaining profitable business relationships at both board and multi level contacts .This has led to an expansion of my role which now also embraces working within business development, providing support to the Nottingham based JP B.D team. I am very excited by this role as conversion of new business has always been a passion of mine and I have achieved multi million £/euro new business for JP during my time in this supplementary role .Using my strong "can do" attitude I look forward to adding further significant growth to the great business that is John Pye Auctions in 2024 and beyond.
