At Pivetal my responsibilities included development in support the main systems, general systems maintenance and monitoring and occasional site visits to install and upgrade hardware and software. Development included the use of Visual Basic, SQL, Excel, Crystal reports, Java and Gensym G2.

My responsibilities at the college involved development of specialised applications using Visual Basic and Microsoft SQL Server, supporting various business systems.Development projects included a user account manager which as well as managing computer user accounts, automatically creates and updates the accounts in Active Directory and Exchange using data.

My role in the organisation was based partly in Newbury where I provided telephone support for a national organisation who use a variety of systems including UNIX workstations and Windows 95/NT PCs, all connected via a wide area network. When not in Newbury I was one of a team providing hardware support through site visits.
