Touch Design Group is an Exeter based studio and workshop providing clients with a complete design and manufacturing facility, all under one roof. They work collaboratively with their customers to design and deliver a diverse range of outstanding work. My focus within the business is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the finishing department, developing and coaching my team to use a variety of techniques to achieve bespoke finishes that meet consistently high standards of workmanship. My work involves COSHH responsibility, stock ordering and safe systems of working.

Halstock design, manufacture and install bespoke interiors for the high-end residential market.Working within the Finishing department, I ensure that each stage of the finishing process is carried out to the highest standard and undertake quality checks before goods are passed to our Despatch team. Undertaking the application of a wide variety of stains, tints, paints and finishing techniques and ensuring work is done safely and in compliance with industry legislation.

Applying a range of specific processes to assist in the production of high quality mattresses, to include Machine Operation and Production Line working.

Preparation and application of coloured finishes to custom-made wooden furniture using varied spraying techniques, in accordance with signature company processes.

Working mostly with oak, cherry, walnut and mahogany, applying finishes to all kinds of furniture, floorboards, wall panels, staircases, window frames and doors to create a look specific to customer requirements, using a combination of different methods.
