Designing of plant upgrades to improve safety, reliability and output, ensuring that engineering maintenance and projects are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner. Key in expanding the automation of the SPP using the Metso/Valmet DCS system. Plan & monitoring of the maintenance of the SPP using the 'Workmate ' MMS as well as lead & manage the plant capital programme in coordination with operational activities, whilst ensuring high standards of workmanship are maintained. Carry out risk assessments and develop standard maintenance procedures to support maintenance and project activity.Reporting directly to the UK Operations director, building strong relationships with other internal departments and external suppliers and contractors to improve performance and identify new techniques and ideas, whilst controlling the SPP maintenance budget effectively.
