Worked on image color quality metrics, to try to rate the perceived quality of a streamed video. It was part of a tool that measured, in video streaming applications, where the video quality was unacceptable, and thus allowed to monitor a network in a more efficient way. I introduced myself also to psychophysics....and to figure out what happens and must be done when a company goes suddenly bankrupt.

Research on panoramic digital photography

Wrote a thesis chapter, which led to a US patent, about rendering high dynamic range images.

Wrote an algorithm for a mobile robot that drove in sand. The goal was to drive the robot from point A to point B, avoiding any obstacle on the way, and avoiding tight curves, to avoid sliding on the sand and loose track of the robot position (which was defined by the wheel rotation count)The robot was tested in a robot field test in the desert
