David is a retired C/Supt from Kent, BTP and Met Police, an experienced senior manager and a high performing coach for others in the Public Service, IT, Engineering, Legal, Police and emergency services arenas. He has extensive experience of Media management and TV/Radio presentation skills. This ideally complements his background of management/command of high profile crisis situations across a broad spectrum of incidents (Public order, firearms, major disaster and terrorism incidents).Between 2009-19 David was an international volunteer humanitarian aid field worker as a ShelterBox Response Team lead. His first deployment was to the Haiti earthquake in 2010 followed by work after the hurricane in the Philippines later that year. In 2011 David again worked in Haiti among the 634,000 people still living in makeshift camps. David led successful deployments to Brazil (flooding and landslides in Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro), the response to flooding in Niger 2012 and Super Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines 2013 and again in 2015. Thereafter he also led teams in Nepal and Vanuatu.A Rotarian since 1990 with the Rotary Club of Medway (UK), he is the founder/organiser of Rotary Childrens Hospice Family Holidays, providing lifelong memories for families where the parent(s) are likely to outlive at least one of their children.Work commissions included personal development coaching, leadership skills, grievance handling, decision making, problem solving, diversity issues, confidence building, drug & alcohol research, media training and emergency management training on behalf of the Cabinet Office.David provides a high quality, honest and open approach to the development of people and systems using his broad experience of having personally managed a myriad of operational directorates and the training and development of other managers.Specialties: Communication skills training, presentation skills training, media handling, personal development coaching, emergency management and crisis handling skills, international humanitarian aid disaster emergency work.
