I have worked within the Logistics industry now for over 24 years covering a number of varied roles and developing a unique amount of experience and professionalism over this time. For the majority of my career I worked for XPO Logistics (Formerly Norbert Dentressangle Logistics) based in Neasden, North West London.My most recent role of Health and Safety Manager working for DHL in Welham Green was a return to Health and Safety, a role that I had previously held working for XPO. However now being responsible for the welfare and safety of many more colleagues over two separate warehouses at the same location.My previous role of Implementation manager also working for DHL at the same site utilised my wide and varied skill set, enabling me to offer help with the Hanging Warehouse project team. This involved creating Work Instructions, and managing the system testing required for sign off by the system installers and the customer (M&S).Prior to that I was the site QHSE Manager for XPO in Neasden, a senior management role reporting directly to the Site Manager and looking after all site health and safety issues. In addition to managing site training requirements, compliance and environment issues.During my time at XPO in Neasden I was seconded to M&S Head Office where I managed several M&S sites requirements as well as creating and analysing data for senior members of the Clothing and Home Logistics team at M&S Head Office in Paddington, London. I gained significant experience of the wider logistics network during my time there and from visiting all of the warehouses M&S work with.In previous roles I developed skills around managing people, operational workloads and meeting KPI targets. By taking learnings from completing the “XPO Red Management” course I was able to put new methods into action and increase my people management skills and overall performance.I have also assisted other sites within the XPO company network and shared my methods and solutions with them, improving the overall service to our customer and saving considerable costs.I have a natural talent for all areas of I.T. and have developed many unique skills over the years to enable me to provide solutions to many varied challenges. I have been trained in all Microsoft Office applications to an expert level. I also have comprehensive knowledge of I.T. operating systems, hardware and networking.
