About David Heckenberg
I am currently developing the hydropower market in North America at HYDROGRID. Previously, I have consulted public and private sector clients in the European Union and Africa focussing on energy and environmental issues. From my current and previous positions I have experience working in business development, consulting, politics and international relations and thrive on interacting with people. I am passionate about working in a team to make a change. My personal goal is to actively implement new solutions that combat climate change. I am half American, half Austrian and embrace both cultures equally. My international upbringing has led me to pursue many different paths during my studies, having led the Youth Chapter of the US Democratic National Committee (DNC) in Austria, and having worked for institutions, such as the European Commission, WWF, the UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), several Austrian Ministries, the Austrian Institute for International Politics (OIIP) and the Austrian Institute for Technology Assessment (ITA).If you would like to get in touch, I am looking forward to hearing from you on LinkedIn!
