Duties include owning internal windows and linux tools and hacking Automotive ECU software internals.

I write interface, measurement, operating system and driver code for handheld test and measurement devices for the telecom industry, specifically cable right now. I write in C, C++, Objective-C and Java. I occasionally use Bash, Qt, Python and Ruby. I deal with the full life-cycle of a project, from customer use cases to requirements, design, implementation, test and release to manufacturing. I'm currently the team lead for a mobile software project.

I wrote controls and interface software to operate mobility assistance machinery. Specifically, I wrote software to interface to Chevrolet and Chrysler minivans. It interfaced with body controllers to change the vehicle's default behaviors and controlled aftermarket parts such as kneel motors and ramps in order to allow vehicle access via wheelchair. My specific innovations revolved around improvements of user interface to provide a uniform, intuitive interaction between user and machine.
