8-month long Master´s thesis at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) at the Jacco van Rheenen research group. This internship aims to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the appearance of colorectal cancer after cisplatin treatment, specifically focusing on its effect on the APC gene. In addition to studying the potential effects of this treatment on intestinal epithelial cells (organoids), intravital microscopy techniques are employed to investigate its effects on the stroma in vivo.

6-week internship at the Institute for Cardiovascular Regeneration in Frankfurt, where I aimed to study the distribution of T cells in the myocardium of heart sections after myocardial infarction by performing immunohistochemistry analysis.

6-week internship at the pneumological and immunological laboratory of the Frankfurt Children's Hospital (allergy, pneumology and cystic fibrosis). I focused on the stimulation of different EBV-transformed B-cell lines from patients suffering from Ataxia Telangiectasia with and without IgA deficiency with the CD40 system for subsequent immunophenotyping by flow cytometry of IgM, IgG, IgA and IgD expression.

6-week internship at the Dr. Senckenberg Institute of Neurooncology in Frankfurt, during which I studied the synergistic effect of microglia with CAR-NK cells in the killing of Glioblastoma tumor cells.

Successfully completed two 6-month internships during my Bachelor studies at Paul Ehrlich Institute's Division of Virology, led by Prof. Dr. Eberhard Hildt.During my first internship, I explored the effectiveness of different lipid modulators against Hepatitis E virus. These findings played a significant role in the publication of a scientific paper titled "Targeting Cholesterol Metabolism as Efficient Antiviral Strategy Against the Hepatitis E Virus" (DOI: 10.1016/j.jcmgh.2021.02.002).During my second internship, I successfully completed my bachelor thesis on investigating the influence of Hepatitis E Virus structural proteins on cellular processes. For this, I conducted cloning of viral structural protein sequences and studied their effects on different subcellular structures and molecules.
