David has been a Director of Azur since Sept 2017 and Non-Executive Chairman since October 2018. In February 2020 he stood down from his responsibilities at Cairn Capital Ltd to assume the role of Executive Chairman of Azur. The underwriting business was sold to Aviva in 2022 and the Technology Business was sold to a Management Team 6 months later. Prior to Azur, David co-Founded and was a Director and member of the Executive Management Committee of Cairn Capital Ltd, a large UK based Asset Management Firm where he had overall responsibility for the firm’s Corporate Advisory Business.Cairn was sold to Mediobanca in 2015.He was formerly Global Head of Structured Credit Products with The Royal Bank of Scotland and has extensive experience of debt and credit products.He is also Chairman of MDC², The 4th largest Real Estate Industrial and Logistics developer in The Republic of Poland.He is also Chairman of Exo Technologies who are a leading technology company specialising in resource efficient hydrodynamics principally in the maritime defence space.
