My aim in life, both professionally and personally, is to identify and deliver on opportunities that make substantial impacts on the world. I believe that passion, persistence, and hard work make this possible. A strong work ethic has served as the foundation for each role I have held in my professional journey, from one of my first jobs working the graveyard shift at a vaccine packaging plant to my recent position as CEO. Reflecting on my time working at several pharmaceutical companies, I see a common thread: I am drawn to the challenge of solving complex problems that impact patients around the world. Prior to joining Invivyd, I spent six years at Pfizer, where I led the preparation and launch of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in the United States, including the initial contracts with the U.S. government. I also led Pfizer’s partnership with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, which supplies millions of vaccines to the developing world. Before Pfizer, I held several roles at Novartis, most notably serving on the front lines of the H1N1 Pandemic and leading the Medical Counter Measures group. As a father of two young children, I can’t help but think of the world we are shaping for future generations. For us to remain healthy as a society and prepared to combat future infectious diseases, we must continue to advance innovative therapeutics and vaccines to have a robust medicine cabinet for today, tomorrow, and beyond.
