This is a new OSHA requirement for farm grain sweeps and was considered un-doable by industry experts. The sweep also was designed for safety requirements in Canada and European Union. • Wrote safety instructions, operator instructions and designed the decals.• Achieved 400 hours of testing with zero bin entry. No failures. • Used advanced engineering principles to improve rigidity by 200% over previous design. • Reduced weight by over 50% as compared to previous Brock Harvest time sweep • Designed innovative rotisserie welding fixtures for sump fixtures requiring no manual manipulation or unloading of the finished piece to reduce injuries.• Used background in metallurgy to identify gear box shaft failure caused by improper grade of steel.It was great! Too bad they had to close. This was a second family to me.

• Programming of Honeywell HC 900 PLC and SCADA HMI platforms for hot tensile furnace controls. • Managed all calibration of the facility and ensure NFPA requirements regarding electrical safety were met. • Led retrofit of exposed conductors on over 120 test frames to current standards• Repaired various lab equipment on an as needed emergency basis including items with a radioactive source. • Identified asbestos in our heat treat furnaces. Contacted the state, local, manufacturer, and waste disposal companies to ensure all regulations were met regarding HAZMAT etc.• Developed the disposal plan and team for the asbestos mitigation. Personally, removed the asbestos material and ensure facility contamination did not occur. • Required respirator training was achieved. • Identified improper gauge of feeder line of 400-amp service panel that kept tripping. Electricians had run a line only rated for 200 amps. • Identified and replaced mainline fuse outside of the building in a torrential rain storm to save test data after lightning strike.
