I have worked in emergency services since 1997. I have been a firefighter (either paid or volunteer) since 1997 and hold various certifications such as Firefighter Level II, Rescue Technician, and Fire Instructor. I have been working (either part time or full time) in EMS since 1998 and currently am credentialed as a EMT-Paramedic. I have done emergency services contract work since 2000 and am credentialed by the North Carolina Emergency Management Association as an Executive Emergency Manager. As of July 2011 I created my own business called On Target Preparedness and do this full time. I enjoy spending time sharing my knowledge of emergency services with others. I write for the Carolina Fire Rescue Journal and www.firehouse.com. I also travel to various conferences to present on emergency services and preparedness topics.I am the husband of the amazing Amanda Hesselmeyer and father to a wonderful daughter named Reagan! I could not have a more wonderful family.
