From January 2018- March 2022, I was the strategic lead in designing, delivering, managing, and adapting the complete internal and external communication and marketing strategies for the Knowledge in Action for Urban Equality (KNOW) Programme at the Bartlett Development Planning Unit UCL. • For my highly effective work in this role, I was humbled to recently receive the UCL Professional Services Award 'UCL 2022 enabler: Communicating and engaging effectively with the world.’ from the School of the Built Environment, Engineering and Mathematical and Physical Sciences, UCL• Designed and implemented the entire internal and external integrated communications strategies for the £7.2 million grant funded programme investigating urban equality, the environment, and policy change across Latin America, Asia, Africa, and the UK. (See: www.urban-know.com).• Facilitated and managed the entirety of the programmes events and international workshops; brand and key messaging; campaigns, publications and outputs; website design and marketing; quarterly and annual reporting.• Worked exceptionally closely with the multifaceted international team of 52 core academic investigators, key stakeholders and partnerships (such as UCLG GOLD).• In light of the pandemic, I successfully transformed the programme to run online, working closely with the global team to ensure that even those in more remote places could all effectively collaborate, including in a final online conference.About the programme: KNOW is a 7.2 million pound research programme, forming a key part of UK Aid Strategy. KNOW is an international project with partners in 12 cities and 13 institutions in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the UK, which aims to deliver transformative research and capacity for innovation in policy and planning that will promote urban equality.
