Implements California State University policy that prohibits Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation (DHR); Sexual Misconduct; Dating and Domestic Violence; and Stalking. Oversees and coordinates prompt and equitable grievance procedures for students, staff, and faculty. Coordinates and executes DHR and Title IX training and education programs for the campus.

Responsible for recruiting all faculty, staff, and administrator positions on campus – managing the process from the initiation of authorizations to recruit through the appointment of successful candidates, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, Collective Bargaining Agreements, and state and federal employment laws and regulations. Oversees the appointment of non-recruited staff and administrators, makes modifications to existing appointments and positions, and performs Compensation & Classification, Labor Relations, and Human Resources Generalist management functions as needed.

Leads a team of four staff which provides all ITS business management and staff services functions for a technical work unit of 70 FTE. Responsible for purchasing, budget management and analysis, personnel administration, official travel planning and processing, ITS contracts and licenses, asset inventory, and myriad other general executive and administrative office support tasks. Serves as a fully-engaged member of the ITS leadership team, requiring minimal supervision and demonstrating professional level decision-making capabilities and independent, creative problem solving, and is an active liaison for ITS with other units across campus.

Provides administrative and analytic support to the Dean and Associate Dean of HSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, liaising with a variety of on-campus administrative and academic offices and researching, analyzing, and evaluating university and college policies and reports. Coordinates faculty and staff personnel processes and provides information to faculty and staff on all personnel issues, including the Retention, Tenure and Promotion (RTP) process. Reviews and edits Faculty Assignments by Department (FAD) reports, assists with Lecturer Transaction Forms and manages Temporary Faculty Evaluation Process.
