Responsible for developing and growing the DFA initiative. As a passionate believer in the safety of drivers on the road network I aim to bring the DFA initiative to the attention of the wider road using public through road transport links and the support of the general public.Expert based evidence indicates that DFA presents the opportunity to reduce road fatalities by up to 46% and, through a cohesive network of trained DFA members working closely with the emergency services, help keep the road network operating as efficiently as possible following a road traffic collision.

 Responsible for project managing RTITB’s preparation for the introduction of the Driver Certificate ofProfessional Competence (CPC). Developed training materials and worked with others within the business to create Master Driver for CPC and the RTITB Master Driver Consortium. Communicated the benefits of the Master Driver Consortium to transport and training organizations at multiple levels, resulting in the enrolment of 120 companies, four times the number originally planned. Played a significant role in business development, resulting in outstanding financial performance during one of the steepest recessions in living memory.

Restructured this £2M turnover organisation, comprising 30 full-time staff and 700 volunteers by creating a realistic vision of the future. Additionally, through the use of coaching and mentoring skills, generated a sense of urgency amongst a diverse network of stakeholders, resulting in a reduction of labour costs by 28%. Utilised extensive personal skills and experience in the field of employee relations, affecting a successful turnaround through a major programme of change, enabling the organisation to refocus on its core competence. Grew sales by 23% over 4 years by developing staff sales and marketing skills, through training and personal development.
