Yosemite Riverside Inn is family-owned, lodging facility 15 minutes outside Yosemite National Park. Guests visit excited and leave fulfilled from this popular, vacation rental location in the Yosemite area. The inn has 20 units that range from standard rooms to luxury suites to cozy cabins, which are all near the middle fork of the Tuolumne River. I have held various roles at this hotel ranging from housekeeping specialist to marketing manager to assistant general manager. I was able to spearhead efforts that took a declining hotel into a thriving tourist location! Key Responsibilities:- Managed the day-to-day operations of the hotel (restocking, booking, promoting, scheduling)- Directed the operational workforce by brainstorming training programs, communicating company goals, and physically training the employees to complete the work required of themKey Accomplishments: - Managed unforeseen disasters such as wildfires, extreme electrical surges, and travel agency over-bookings in an efficient manner- Created and enacted the company policy in response to the COVID-19 pandemic- Stimulated innovation to the outdated payroll system by conceptualizing a curated spreadsheet that calculates employee’s worked hours and pay rate for the pay period, slashing 10+ hours of wasted time monthly- Saved the hotel from losing the Booking.com Preferred Partner Program status, which ensures the hotel's placement high on the Booking.com web searches- Learned all the Yosemite National Park procedures for accessing the national park during a pandemic- Tailored the customer experience to the individual to ensure they never forget visiting our hotel
