David focused on bidding larger mechanical public works projects while at Pueblo/Modigent in Phoenix. He also supported the sales team in developing budgets and conceptual designs for various clients across Arizona.

As the Director of Precon for the Airco San Francisco office, David oversaw the daily operations and strategic development of Airco Mechanical within the Bay Area. Under David's leadership, Airco's Bay Area office was able to carve out a niche within the market which served only a handful of larger GCs on a steady basis, mostly in a special projects role. The team focused on the tenant improvement and service sectors primarily. This included everything from conceptual budgeting efforts to hard bids; as well as business development and project management.

After many years of being in the PM role, David got back into the estimating chair at OC McDonald. He was the lead mechanical estimator working under the chief estimator at the time. The Estimator role at OCM included several PM responsibilities such as project kick-offs, submittal reviews, monthly project reviews, etc. David was able to apply his unique skill set in both estimating and project management on an almost daily basis here. He also managed several high profile projects during his tenure.

During his time at Control Air North, David managed the HVAC wet & dry scope for the new Kaiser Redwood City hospital. He also oversaw a complex emergency room renovation at the San Jose Medical Center.

As a field PM, David spent most of his days at ACCO on-site at some of the larger healthcare projects being built in the Bay Area at the time. (Mills Peninsula, Kaiser Antioch, UCSF Medical Center) He took part in daily coordination and management meetings, had extensive communication and coordination with field personnel, and was the lead for estimating change orders, reviewing and implementing plan changes, etc.

David focused more on laboratory and industrial work at NVH. He would go on to estimate and manage several small to mid-sized projects from concept to close-out during his time there.

Coming off a 7 year stint in the radio industry, David got back into the construction trades after moving to the Bay Area and working for Scott Company of California. After some time working in the field, he got called into the office to join the estimating department on a full-time basis. Scott Co of California had a reputation across the industry as a company that hired the best and brightest estimators and project managers. David would go on to shadow and learn from these professionals during his tenure there.

In 1993, David made a career change; eventually evolving into Program Director and Morning On-Air Personality for several commercial FM radio stations across the US.

After graduating high school, David went to work as a material expediter for his family's union plumbing and heating company in New Haven, CT. With daily technical interactions with field and office personnel, and working closely with vendors and the company accounting department, this is where David began his career in the HVAC & Plumbing industry.
