David Ho is the founder & CEO of Dalumni Consultants Ltd, a firm specialised in cross-border litigation strategy and intellectual property protection.Prior to founding the firm, David served as Legal Director of the Alibaba Group, heading up the International Dispute Resolution and Platform Governance (IP) legal functions of the Group. David has over a decade of experience in international litigation operations, leading on complex litigation, and advising on contentious issues across international jurisdictions. Apart from managing litigation operations, David also has expertise in internet service provider liabilities, contentious intellectual property, intellectual property portfolio protection, public and government relations, and data privacy protection.David has experience in resolving numerous major lawsuits and intellectual property contentions successfully. Highlights include the USD 250 million settlement of U.S. securities class action suit, the settlement of the Kering v AGHL intellectual property lawsuit in New York, and the cutting edge precedent achieved in the Alibabacoin case involving the enforcement of trademark rights against a cryptocurrency outfit. David has established close relationships with major international IP rights holders in over a decade of services with Alibaba.David has been recognised as a leading practitioner internationally, named Corporate IP Stars 2017 and 2018 by Managing Intellectual Property and won the Litigation Team of the Year 2016 Asia-Pacific Counsel Awards. David also served as an Ambassador to the Commission of the ICC International Court of Arbitration on the Belt and Road Initiative and a committee member of the Alibaba-Singapore joint artificial intelligence research institute.
