I am a Chartered Environmentalist with over 23 years' experience in environmental consultancy. My experience relates to the environmental assessment and management of a wide range of projects including wind farms, pipelines, major infrastructure projects (motorway, trunk road and local authority road schemes in Wales, England and Scotland), gas storage facilities and mixed-use developments. Particular areas of expertise include:(i) Effective project management of small, medium and large scale EIAs (from screening/scoping to Environmental Statement), ensuring that client expectations and budget are met.(ii) Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) experience from scoping through EIA and consultation to draft Development Consent Order (DCO) and examination.(iii) Excellent track record in bid management.(iv) Skilled at providing pragmatic advice to clients on environmental issues and opportunities.(v) Proven track record of working closely with clients and statutory/non-statutory organisations, developing relationships and gaining their trust.(vi) Skilled at managing and motivating multidisciplinary teams, acting as an interface between clients and technical specialists.(vii) Experienced in undertaking stakeholder consultation, including extensive public consultation on major infrastructure projects.I have worked for a combination of public sector authorities and private consultants and have developed extensive expertise in Environmental Impact Assessment.
