Inspired to establish Lifestyle Solutions and enable the delivery of meaningful support to people living with disability, David led the organisation through 15 years of sustained growth, innovation and diversification. Today, Lifestyle Solutions is a national provider of disability supports as well as services and supports for children and young people in Out of Home Care and Foster Care. Supporting more than 1500 people throughout Australia, with turnover in excess of $140 million, Lifestyle Solutions employs more than 1800 staff who were led by David until his retirement in June 2016.A pioneer for innovation in service delivery, David was instrumental in the introduction of the Self Managed model of support for people living with disability in New South Wales – the precursor to the NDIS. David has been involved in the NDIS from its inception, trial and rollout. He recognises the complexities of accessing supports in this brave new world and understands intimately the commitment and transformation service providers must embrace to thrive in this consumer driven market.

Hunter

As a member of the National Management Team David was instrumental in establishing and developing the work of Mission Australia in the Hunter and Northern Region of NSW. David had operational and managerial responsibility for services delivered in 45 centres throughout northern NSW. David represented Mission Australia in the USA to research innovative approaches in the delivery of supports to the homeless, youth and people living with disability. He went on to developed a long-term program for homeless people in Newcastle, which was later adopted by DCS as a benchmark for service provision to this target group.
