Pregis PolyMask Technical Coatings Specialist is a key technical support resource that provides innovative temporary surface protection product solutions and reports findings to help educate and provide technical expertise to internal and external customers. My role is focused on customer application and process test simulations in our lab that includes a variety of environmental and performance specification test conditions. I work closely with our technical staff, New Product Development, Sales, Marketing and customers on projects with a variety of applications, products and materials. In this role I also support the development of new adjacent market coatings and all aspects of commercializing these products.Job Functions •Responsible for leading tests and qualifications of temporary surface protection and adjacent market functional coating products appropriate for customer applications and processes. •Represent Pregis PolyMask coatings by advising and consulting on protective surface product, heat seal and functional coating best practices to address client needs. •Manage projects that support best in class product performance objectives and improvement goals •Produce samples and prototypes as part of the deliverables to our customers •Analysis of data and trends to produce reports and presentations to propose to our clients •Utilize an internal and external testing lab to validate a solution using customer specification, ASTM, and Tappi protocols •Interface with product development, sales, marketing, operations, quality and customers on a regular basis •Design and execute testing and experimentation programs•Perform DOEs were needed to identify trends in performance or help evaluate quality issues relating to adhesives and films.•Support trials in manufacturing and interface with engineering and operations

• Achievement of plant Quality goals (internally and externally)• Lead effort to investigate internal and external complaints, and implement effective corrective and preventative actions to address non-conformance's, utilizing the CAPA process• ISO representative for the plant’s Internal Quality and Process audit program, ensuring quality systems are aligned with ISO 9001-2015 standards• Drive continuous quality improvement using engineering best practice, statistical techniques, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.• Work with Operations to resolve internal quality concerns, review nonconforming product and provide disposition guidance• Develop monthly reports related to internal and external quality and audit results• Lead daily quality meetings to communicate quality goals, resolve issues and provide feedback on overall team performance.• Supervise, establish priorities, and ensure optimum utilization of assigned quality resources• Supervise the lab and monitor the inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established quality standards• Work with R&D to recommend changes to quality specifications and procedures• Assist in the development of standardized work processes, process improvements, work instructions, training on processes and supervise daily quality operations• Support customer quality improvement activities
