Throughout my career I've been fascinated with how things work, from how stories are structured to what makes great products. I've worked in all stages of human-centered design, from leading generative user research to designing wireframes and HTML prototypes to running usability tests. In addition to UX design, I've also worked as a content strategist, writer, editor, researcher, and educator, and hold a Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from the University of Washington. Underlying both my academic experience and work in the technology sector is a passion for understanding how people relate to their world, whether through language and storytelling or digital experiences.
