It was a unique and very innovative method for minimizing the trauma and tissue loss during a breast lumpectomy procedure. Opened 4 hospitals in OK, AR, and TN with the leading pioneers of breast cancer surgery in their respective geographical regions. Initiated a physician awareness program for each of my key surgeons, establishing a community of top breast cancer physicians in each area to monitor and calculate the outcomes of our procedure. There was zero additional reimbursement for this procedure and the hospitals would purchase the devices ahead of the scheduled cases. The opportunity for this procedure only lacked in the understanding of how to utilize ultrasound in an OR setting..thus the company eventually failed in the summer of 2008.
