I am a highly motivated cricket coach who has experienced both Development and High-performance roles in previous ICC Governing Bodies. Throughout my career I have continued to develop my coaching skills striving to be the best coach I can be, passing my English cricket board level 3 qualification and continually looking for CPD opportunities aiming to achieve my level 4 in the future. I have a track record in my current and previous roles producing cricketers that go on to be professionals with some representing England at age group world cups gone by.In my current role at Ardingly College as Cricket Development Officer I have mentored numerous players who are part of the Sussex/Surrey academy’s. Part of this mentoring includes specifically designed program's to enable them to reach their full potential. Along side my full-time job I have also pursued other opportunities with other high-level club cricketers in local premier divisions with both male and female teams. In my previous role, I contributed communication, management and leadership towards team efforts and business improvements. I am forward thinking and in sync with new development initiatives within cricket and business strategies. Examples being the reintroduction of women’s cricket in Guernsey, producing players that go on to represent Guernsey in ICC tournaments and keeping them ranked within the top 40 playing nations and increasing the number of juniors playing the game on island.While in Guernsey I progressed from Development Manager to Head Performance Coach working with all age groups. Leading both under 15’s and under 19’s to their respected ICC World cup qualifying events. With Guernsey cricket having links with Sussex County Cricket Club this lead to me assisting them over the course of the summer working with the likes of Luke Wright, Chris Jordan and Philip Salt to continue my coaching development and to see what it takes to make it to the elite level coach. These development opportunities then lead me to assist the national Guernsey Coach as well as being National fielding coaching.Along with my coaching career I’m still an National player for Guernsey and have been for 10 years, along with experiencing ICC tournaments in Malaysia, Singapore and Dubai I’ve been lucky enough to play cricket in South Africa, India and enjoyed two season’s in New Zealand.I'm actively looking for roles that would suit my coaching background so please feel free to drop me a message if you would like to talk cricket. davidrhooper11@outlook.com
