I am a seasoned global fixed income leader with expertise in fixed income portfolio management, credit, asset allocation, and risk. My investment foundation is in trading and evaluating risk/reward. As Fixed Income Portfolio Manager I invested across the entire global fixed income market with wide risk parameters and a top down/bottom up approach. As Deputy CIO, and asset allocator, I was the head of our global credit research team and ran the monthly asset allocation meeting. I also ran both monthly and annual risk reviews for every investment strategy.As a fixed income business leader, I have managed both big and small teams. Most recently I led 60+ investment professionals across six investment teams.I spent over 20 years at Standish Mellon in roles of increasing responsibility. I began my career there in trading and worked my way up to Head of Fixed Income Trading and Co-Portfolio Manager. In 2008 I was promoted to Deputy CIO and Sr. PM, which was the role I held until I left in 2018. I present well to a variety of audiences, communicating complex information in a way that simplifies issues. At Standish, as a client portfolio manager, I presented regularly to clients, prospects, and consultants, as well as distribution teams, internal boards, and to the CIO and CEO. Many of my clients were sophisticated pensions, endowments, foundations, and insurance companies. I also presented regularly to retail distribution networks. I helped raise $14 billion in new business.I have a combination of deep fixed income credit experience and a track record as a fixed income portfolio manager and business leader. I also have broad experience in asset allocation and risk management. I have managed fixed income assets for a wide variety of institutional and retail clients. I have built and led teams through numerous challenging market cycles. I am involved in my local community, on the Youth Hockey Board as President & Treasurer, church finance committee, and coaching. I support numerous philanthropic causes and teach at BU.From Cleveland, my wife and I moved to Boston after graduating from St. Lawrence University.
