The issue of homelessness among Canadian Veterans is an area of increasing concern. Over 10,000 Canadian Veterans are homeless and have not been successful in transitioning from their military career to healthy and productive civilian lives. The majority of these homeless Veterans are unemployed and many are trying to deal with mental and physical injuries related to their years of service.The Homes For Heroes Foundation is an initiative that addresses the issue of Veterans experiencing homelessness in Canada. Homes For Heroes builds and directs tiny home villages, with wrap around social support services for our Veterans in need. Homes For Heroes aims to help those who were willing to give their all to protect us and maintain our freedoms and get them back to a place where they feel supported & engaged. In 2023, I retired from the role of CEO and President of Homes For Heroes but remain active in supporting the charity as an advisor to the Board of Directors and the charity lead within government relations and new village development.
