As the Founder of the Homes For Heroes Foundation, CEO of The Event Group, Keynote Speaker, and Chair of Canadian Legacy Project, I am constantly immersed in the community with my finger on the pulse of many initiatives.Homes For Heroes FoundationIn supporting our men and woman who have stood on guard for Canada, I saw the need for a program to help our unhoused Veterans. In forming Homes For Heroes, I met with Veterans and housing experts across Canada to gain their insight on how a Veterans housing program should be developed. Through this research, my focus was to build a charity that integrated our unhoused Veterans back into the community through the provision of housing and wrap-around social services. In 2023, I stepped down as CEO and President of Homes For Heroes but remain active in supporting the charity as an advisor to the Board of Directors and the charity lead within government relations and new village development. I felt then as I do now, the industry needed, and deserved, better than the classic 'rubber chicken gala' and required a focus on ROI.
