• Rockwell Collins - December 1996 to September 1997 - Software design and development of 68332-based vehicle information system that collects and analyzes data from in-vehicle J1939 and J1708 data networks. Primary responsibility for low-level device drivers and Flash EPROM reprogramming code.• Rockwell Collins - November 1995 to December 1996 - Software design and development of a 188EC-based data recorder for commercial vehicles. The system connects to the in-vehicle J1708 data network to analyze and collect information, and provides a user-interface for the driver to maintain DOT logs and monitor state fuel-tax information.  Awarded US Patents 5,928,291 and 6,253,129 in conjunction with this work.

• Designed and developed a Tactical Navigation System for military armored vehicles. This system integrates a magnetic compass, GPS, laser range finder and odometer to provide a complete navigational environment with dead-reckoning backup.• Designed and developed an Active Stabilized Antenna Platform, that is used for sea-mobile satellite cellular communications and for digital TV.• Developed a Compass Navigation System for use in desert environments, such as those encountered during Desert Storm.• Designed and developed an Electronic Chart Plotter that, using standard paper marine charts clipped to a digitizing mat, allows the user to locate their position and perform navigation tasks.• Developed numerous PC-based factory test applications, utilizing various test, measurement and process control systems. These applications were developed using Borland C++, Visual Basic and Delphi.• Responsible for the development of internal software coding and documentation standards.
