I've started working as a Strategic Planner (contractor) at U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for 2024. I'm excited to assist with implementing clean, efficient, and smarter energy systems, and to learn from many knowledgeable public servants, advocates, and entrepreneurs already working in this space.At MIT, I study energy, climate, and environmental policies in cities. My most recent work has focused on the evolution of the energy system including utilities, the electric grid, and natural gas.I research and teach in MIT's Department of Urban Studies and Planning (DUSP). I am also associated with MIT's Energy Initiative (MITEI), Environmental Solutions Initiative (ESI), and Climate and Sustainability Consortium (MCSC). I teach undergraduates, masters, and doctoral students.Prior to joining the faculty, I worked in a variety of roles in government, academia, finance, and engineering.Specialties: Urban planning, environmental policy; climate change; infrastructure, energy, water, air quality; data analysis, statistics, economics.
