Head of the Activities Department for the Zeavola Resort & Spa I am responsible for a team of 10, which includes, 3 PADI diving instructors, 1 PADI Dive Master, 1 tour guide, 2 boat captains, 1 receptionist, 1 attendant and 1 hotel school trainee (as part of an internship).Key Achievements :Revenue - Activities Department achieved the highest revenue in the 10 years since the resort's opening.Cost of Sales – 10% reduction in annual cost of sales, compared to the previous year.Profit – 87% increase in profit compared to the previous year. This success is due to the focus of selling tours which had a lower cost of sales and also by reducing costs through maintaining equipment and assets.Guest Satisfaction - internal surveys showed that an increase in revenue and profit did not affect guest service, as the department has had a service rating of 94%, as rated by the guests themselves.The results above were achieved through team work, creating shared goals and pride in our work and through recognizing each team member's talents and building on their weaknesses. As a result the activities department has had the most successful year on record.
