David Humphreys is the President and Chief Executive Officer of TAMKO Building Products, Inc., one of the nation’s largest residential roofing manufacturers. David is dedicated to advancing individual liberty and free-market principles, and to making more educational opportunities available to young people. In 1993, he and his wife Debra founded the Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School in Joplin Missouri where about half of the students receive financial aid and/or scholarships funded by the Humphreys.He was the former Chair of the Board of Regents for the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee and a member of the University of Miami School of Law Visiting Committee. David serves on the boards of the CATO Institute, the Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty, and the Institute for Humane Studies. He is also a member of the American Civil Liberties Union. He and his wife Debra carry on a family commitment to helping others in need.
