Led the financial performance, control and leadership of the Lloyds IT estate and technology change programmes with an annual cash cost of circa £2.2 billion and encompassing 17,000 staff and partner resources. Dave plays an integral role in shaping the commercial and financial shape of IT in Lloyds with leadership of the cost/value/efficiency agenda. Recent transformational activity includes shaping the business case and financial elements of the recent Cloud infrastructure services transaction, the introduction of IT cost analytics and the maturation of portfolio/project financial management processes.Dave is also financially responsible for Lloyds property and divestment activities.

Global lead for financial bid planning and governance and for project goverance and control largely focused on contracts in excess of £20M and up to £500M. Simultaneously, led the transaction from the Logica side that resulted in a recommended £1.6 billion offer for the business by CGI.

Responsible for the financial governance, control and leadership of the Logica UK business with a turnover in excess of £700M and more than 5,000 employees. Led a finance team of 160 individuals. Responsible for Real Estate, Procurement, IT and Health and Safety. Implemented robust project governance processes and brought clarity to the underlying trading and project position. Drove a significant and successful cash improvement programme.

Responsible for the inorganic development activity of Logica plc. Negotiated and transacted the acquisition of a Spanish/LATAM group (Gesfor, 1,200pp €56M revenue) in the period. At the same time, Dave led a global labour cost reduction programme that generated a 3% annualised reduction in global labour cost.

Responsibility for annual financial planning process, standardising and benchmarking financial performance planning, business reviews and overall working capital management oversight. Activity resulted in a substantial reduction in overheads and improvement in working capital performance. At the same time, led M&A activity for Logica.

CFO of a private equity backed UK software business that provides OSS solutions to leading global telecom operators. Renewed the business strategy and drove the resultant divestment process whilst carefully managing working capital to allow a successful outcome.

Business turned around from a loss making position to a profitable growing company that was subsequently divested by Logica.

Global lead for the cross cultural integration of the merger of Logica and CMG to create a combined business of 20,000 IT professionals. The integration was considered a "text book" example of a successul integration activity by industry analysts.
