Network Operations Center Engineer/Manager
- Extensive experience troubleshooting both server and network performance and availability with tools including HP Performance Manager, Windows Performance Monitor, LOGPARSER, HP Network Node Manager, NetFlow.
- As manager, supervised a two-shift team of NOC operators and engineers utilizing HP OpenView to proactively manage a network of 400+ servers.
- Responsible for Veritas NetBackup, 6 EMC Data Domain devices, data center physical security, as well as environmental and electrical systems.
- Wide-ranging use of MS SQL in scripting and operations solutions including writing complex databases, stored procedures, scheduled jobs, and SSIS packages
- Created hundreds of operations scripts in VBScript, DOS batch, PowerShell, Unix shell script, Perl to manage/monitor server performance, run scheduled tasks, deploy software, and integrate with systems including UPSs.
- Made use of SNMP scripting to monitor and update network hardware and operating systems and provide web pages/reports on hardware status
