As a Technical manager of the mainframe storage I was responsible for managing the team of 5 people. The team ranged from very experienced to junior analyst. I was responsible for the allocation of all tasks and overseeing that the task/projects were completed successfully and were on time.I was also involved in some technical working within the team.Successes of the team in recent times have been :-Replacing older IBM disks with newer DS8950FImplementing GDPS Incremental resync (XRC)Implementing GDPS B test.Replacing CONTROLT with DF RMM ( Tape management systems).Normal day to day maintenance of the mainframe storage environment including DFHSM DSSMS Catalogs, VSAM, IDCAMS, JCL, BACKUPS

Mainframe Storage duties including XRC DFSMShsm DFSMS IDCAMS ICKJEFT Using mostly IBM DASD but also Hitachi and EMC disk.CMS Nearline tape libraries.

I was responsible for the smooth running of the Computer operations team in the Riverclub Computer Center. Ensuring all documentation was up-to-date and procedures were adhered to.

I was responsible for the operations team of 12 operators, this includes all functions of the operations , scheduling of batch jobs, reloading of software, IPL's of systems. This included the managing of a print IBM3800/3900) and Microfiche shop.

Computer operations involved scheduling and executing batch jobs, ensuring the smooth running of the batch. Maintaining up time for onlines. IPL'ing of systems when required. Reloading of software as required. Supervising the print and michrofiche production.
