I have over 32 years experience in the fire fighting sector, serving 6 years as a Royal Air Force fire fighter, 3 years as an airport fire fighter. I have recently retired from Tyne & Wear Fire and Rescue Service after 23 and a half years. I successfully passed the Crew/Watch Manager exams and interview process for TWFRS. Having completed just over a year as a Crew Manager on a watch. I was temporarily promoted to Watch Manager A as an instructor at TWFRS training school for 15 month. I served as a substansive Crew Manager instructor in the same role until march 2018 before I was temporarily promoted to Watch Manager in charge of RTC/Trauma training. I am now a Crew Manager on station where I act up to Watch Manager several times a year.I am a qualified Instructor in Breathing Apparatus (SFJ), Road Traffic Collisions(SFJ), Hazardous Materials (IFE recognised), along with a SFJ Level 3 in Education and Training and also an SFJ Level 3 in Assessing Vocational Achievement. I have City and Guilds Level 3 in working as part of a rescue and recovery team in confined space, Level 2 working in high risk confined space. I am currently looking for a role in Lecturing, Training, Instructing or Management role in both Private or Public sectors. I have also worked as a Youth Worker for 18 years with a NVQ level 2 in Youth Work. I was also a foster carer for 5 years from 2014 to 2019.All above certificates are available on request.
