Leading the organization and organizing board member duties to ensure CHE's mission of serving Latinx pre-med/pre-health students is met. Keeping constant communication with other Latinx organizations on campus to establish a strong support network. Holding weekly general meetings with guest speakers to provide general members with fresh perspectives in the healthcare field and keep them motivated to address healthcare gaps in underrepresented communities.

Leading the effort of planning and executing yearly Minorities in Health pre-health conference to provide underrepresented pre-health with information and connections on the vast opportunities in the healthcare industry.

Preparing, submitting, and allocating an annual budget and leading purchase decisions. Keeping accurate record of all club financial transactions thereby reconciling deposits and expenditures.

Collaborated on Dr. Irum Khan's descriptive study looking at the predictors behind the use of supraglottic airways vs. endotracheal tubes in adult patients undergoing general anesthesia using Multicenter Perioperative Outcomes Group (MPOG) Data. Gained knowledge on how clinical research studies are conducted, how patients are selected for, and what data is available for researchers to study. Shadowed physicians, surgeons, and anesthesiologists at UCSF Mount Zion, Mission Bay, and Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland. Presented our study at our URI Research Symposium at the end of our internship.

Conducted a landscape analysis of various Public Health Jurisdictions (local, state, and national) toidentify their health equity policies and the various strategies they implement internally to promotethose policies. Prepared a summary of various strategies and recommendations thatthe Los Angeles Department of Public Health Center for Health Equity could implement to improve department workers' health outcomes.

Partook in clinical shadowing rotations at the UC Davis Medical Center and various Kaiser Permanente clinics around Sacramento. As a pre-med student attended the UC Davis School of Medicine and learned strategies to address minority-related health disparities and increase health literacy in underserved communities.

Summer enrichment program for high school students aiming to provide underserved, underrepresented, low-income, and minority students with valuable employment experiences in the health care field. Whilst the program was held remotely due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was still able to gain a better understanding of the different career choices in medicine while learning concepts like the social determinants of health and health disparities from practicing physicians and other health professionals.
