I am a licensed Chemical Engineer in the state of Alabama with over 20 years’ experience as both a production and process engineer. I specialize in treated water systems such as cooling water, chilled water loops, RO, demineralization, and process water wells. I helped develop and establish a water treatment program to better coordinate the efforts across the plant and ensure consistency over a 15-year period. Program is now a “best practice” at 4 other facilities across our division. In 2004, I designed and help manage a plan for operating the facility in a safe and environmentally friendly manner over a 5-month period when a new set of heat exchangers was found to be slightly leaking and we were awaiting a replacement set to be built.In 2011, I planned and help organize the execution of a $2 million 34-day maintenance turnaround on a 7-mile underground liquid chlorine pipeline between our sister facility in Louisiana and three customers, which was successfully completed with zero safety or environmental issues as well as on time and on budgetRecently, I directed the efforts of locating and testing the quality of a new process water aquifer with the help of an outside hydrogeologist capable of supplying 3000 gallons per minute of low conductivity and low iron water to replace part of the 40+ year process water system which has high conductivity and high iron.Skills:- Troubleshooting process issues - Improving existing processes- Leading PHAs in two PSM manufacturing facilities- Facilitating and investigating for RCA- Data collecting and analysis- Process modeling and simulation- Process development- Liaison between project and production groups- Project engineering support including start upAlso, over 19 years of volunteering time to the University of South Alabama’s Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering as an industry evaluator of Senior Design Projects and member of the Industrial Advisory Board.
