Establish a strategic plan to elevate the programs in the Lone Star Conference and the NCAA. In charge of all duties associated with being the head coach including recruiting, hiring/mentoring of coaches, budget preparation, meet management, travel logistics, specific event group program design and implementation; Responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures outlined by the NCAA, the University, and the Lone Star Conference. Serve as a member of the NCAA D2 Track and Field Executive Committee. Selected Contributions:Demonstrate leadership and direction in recruiting, training, and mentoring student athletes; spearhead grass-roots campaign to cultivate alumni relationships to support program success. Develop and implement training programs for sprints, throws, jumps, pole vault, and multi-events Ensure appropriate resources and budgets were available to meet or exceed organizational goals and objectives. Establish recruiting ties locally, regionally and internationally. Work directly with sports medicine and strength development staff to put together programs in increase athletic performance while limiting injuries.
