As the CFO of Star Equity Holdings, a Nasdaq-listed holding company, I oversee the financial strategy, reporting, and operations of our current two business segments: construction, and investments. We sold our substantial healthcare business, Digirad Health, Inc., to private equity in May 2023. I am also active in our M&A process from origination through closing and have been in this role since January 2019, after joining the company as COO in September 2018.With over 25 years of experience in finance, I have a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, executing complex transactions, and delivering value to our shareholders, customers, and partners. Prior to joining Star Equity Holdings, I spent 11.5 years as the Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets, Americas at HSBC, where I established and expanded the bank's ECM franchise in the U.S. and Latin America.My mission is to leverage my corporate finance expertise, equity capital markets experience, and strategic vision to drive growth, profitability, and innovation for Star Equity Holdings and its subsidiaries. As a first step, we merged 2 construction businesses into Digirad in September 2019. By January 2021, we restructured the company and changed our name and ticker to Star Equity Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: STRR). In April 2021, we completed the sale of the non-core portion of our healthcare business. Today, we operate in two sectors, healthcare and construction, and our revenue is roughly split in half between the two divisions. We are actively looking at M&A opportunities to add to these business platforms or enter a new sector.As CFO, I support the CEO in defining and driving strategic initiatives and assist in identifying areas for operational improvement. I directly manage Accounting & Finance, Financial Reporting, and Financial Planning & Analysis. I also participate actively in Investor Relations, as well as M&A evaluation and due diligence. In addition, I take the lead on managing our banking and insurance relationships. -
