Joined the company as COO in September 2018 and was asked by the Board to assume additional role as CFO in January 2019. Concurrent with the joining of a CEO in January 2022, my role evolved to simply CFO.Over the past 3 years, we have been busy converting what was Digirad Corporation (Nasdaq: DRAD) from a pure-play healthcare company into a diversified multi-industry holding company. As a first step, we merged 2 construction businesses into Digirad in September 2019. By January 2021, we restructured the company and changed our name and ticker to Star Equity Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: STRR). In April 2021, we completed the sale of the non-core portion of our healthcare business. Today, we operate in two sectors, healthcare and construction, and our revenue is roughly split in half between the two divisions. We are actively looking at M&A opportunities to add to these business platforms or enter a new sector.As CFO, I support the CEO in defining and driving strategic initiatives and assist in identifying areas for operational improvement. I directly manage Accounting & Finance, Financial Reporting, and Financial Planning & Analysis. I also participate actively in Investor Relations, as well as M&A evaluation and due diligence. In addition, I take the lead on managing our banking and insurance relationships.

Established HSBC’s Latin American ECM franchise, significantly expanded our U.S. footprint across 2 distinct customer segments, and implemented a specialized Convertibles and Corporate Equity Derivatives capability. Managed headcount growth with impressive retention levels, doubling the size of our regional team to 11 direct reports across equity and equity-linked origination and syndicate.Drove regional revenues up 50%+ and U.S. revenues up 150%+ per annum during a recent 4-year period, expanding the ECM businesses in each North America and Latin American with distinct strategies. In Mexico, we achieved a Top 3 ECM ranking from scratch in 2 years.Worked consistently and effectively as a committed partner to our commercial banking segment, where collaboration was a long-term key initiative for the bank globally and across the investment banking product suite.Orchestrated and executed a very high profile and highly structured 3-tranche private sale of shares in Visa Inc. on behalf of our U.S. Retail Bank, netting the firm a $400+ million gain from 4Q16 through 1H17.
