Selected via a rigorous recruitment process I was privileged to lead a large team of EMS, UCS, and PCS staff in Powys, I remained fully engaged with service and staff development in support of a new Head of Service as together, we move to embed Team Based Working (TBW) in Wales. With the NHS working closely with partners and driven by a genuine desire to do things differently, we strive to move the service forward, meeting challenges along the way but still not losing sight of our shared success.

Current responsibilities include emergency ambulance logistics in a busy area in the South East Region of the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust.

Based in central Cardiff, I enjoyed the delights of working within a busy urban Ambulance Service and the challenges that it offered.

I joined up with a Somerset GP in 1985 to form what is now the UK's premier voluntary event medical provider. Festival Medical Services is a registered UK incorporated charity. We have over 2,000 members the majority of whom are NHS professionals. FMS is also an accredited training centre and provides bespoke training for event medical responders. Festival Medical Services, is a not for profit registered charity that provides medical logistics at many of the UK's largest festivals including the prestigious Glastonbury Festival & Reading Festival. Based in a very rural community, I worked as a Paramedic in some of the wildest county-side I have ever seen. Working as part of a small team, we service a small population of residents spread out over a large geographical area. With a seasonal tourist influx as Northumbria is a popular tourist destination for walkers and out door sports fans not to mention the British Army.

As a reservist Officer, I was an instructor and started ATC life as a cadet finishing as a commissioned officer. (FLT LT) I really enjoyed my time with 93 sqdrn and miss them all to this day.
